I am ready to take on another project. I really want a System 11 as I've never had one. I have a buddy who is selling one. I wanted to take on a full restoration but this is a nicer game than I usually take on. The cabinet was pretty awesome actually. Hardly any scratches some wear around the start. I could not see the backbox but I assume the usual. Needs a new playfield and I have one lined up already. I want to do the backglass as well to keep Marilyn throughout. All of the plastics are suprisingly great. The plunger rests too high on the ball in the shooter lane (which I have never seen) and causes the ball to hardly shoot at all, 10,000 max on Spinout. The spinout no longer has the ridges? that make the ball slow down. Can someone post a picture of what is in there? The flippers feel weak so they probably just need a rebuild. The inserts are popping a fuse...probably a short but if anyone has some input please advise. Topper appears to be great, no sagging on the bottom, coin door needs to be sanded and painted. The right ramp is being held up by a seperate lane guide, see picture below. Can someone post what is supposed to be there. Gorbie shot bounces out 75% of the time and one time it shot in there from the Spinout, not sure if that is supposed to happen. He is firm at $800. I just want to make sure I don't lose my ass on it. Breaking even I am okay with.

You might lose money if you fully restore it, but I don't think you would lose your ass. I could see you being able to get in the area of $2500 for it totally restored. If I could find a Taxi in that condition for that price I would be all over it.

What a weird design....
Thanks

If you don't buy it, please forward me the seller's information.

For $800 I would grab it quick before a vulture from here beats u to it. I paid way more for my beater and put a CPR Pf, plastics, all new pop and flipper mechs, etc. Just put in CPR backglass last night. Buy it and start tearing it apart! Enjoy!

That was the input I was looking for thanks. I will let you know if I back out.

Can't wait til u actually do a full restore! Just me but I would have paid $3500-4000 for a "full" restore. I'm over $3000 into mine just for game and parts, no cab decals and no labor. Not much of a restore tho, just a bunch of new stuff. What kind of restore u gonna do on Sorcerer Chad? Clear PF?

Just bought it, I pick it up this week.

Bought it for the $800.

The good - I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

The bad - a little more knicks on the backbox than I was expecting. Some of the wood is splitting on the surface (not sure the correct term for this) Not as bad as my Space Shuttle but still happening. I don't know if I will decal or not still undecided because I want a full restoration project but this might only need touchup or nothing since sometimes I prefer cabs to show their age like I did with my Space Shuttle. A credit dot appeared since my last visit. My spinout has more wear on the inside than I wanted but should still work fine.

The ugly - my checking account summary.

Last picture was something I thought was cool. No rubs on the back of the backbox at all.

The boards appear to be pristine. I couldn't even find the GI connection because none are burnt or replaced.

Sorry for the glass on shot, I am tired.

Looks like a nice one at a good price also. I love my taxi and will never sell it. I will be doing a full restore soon. Have my cpr playfield a new topper and I just got my new back glass today from cpr. Congrats on the pick up!

Thoughts on whether to redecal or not? I hate this decision time in a new game... I want an amazing one as I am kind of picky on my games however I would feel bad sanding this down since it has survived so long. Also, I know I am doing a new playfield. I can get a bronze for a lot less that has a small discoloration to the side of Marilyn's face about the size of a dime or I believe PPS still has them for around 250 more (with their $50 inspection which I believe is a ripoff to be honest).

By the way, I can now tell you vultures where I got this. I found this in a little mom and pop arcade.

I'm going to put new cabinet decals on mine. The way I think about it if I'm going to putting in a new playfield, new back glass it would look kinda funny have and old looking cabinet with a brand new stuff.

How are you planning on doing the Warning on the back? And all of the high voltage, insert 3 balls, all of those stickers... where do you find those.

That cab is in goodbshape and the colors are good. Its a waste of money to decal it. I know.im my case all thing but the cabinet being equal I'll. Buy a nicked up original cab before a re-decaled one
