working on restoring a WW and Getaway. redoing cabinets and clear coating play fields
Quoted from floyd1977:Very nice work! I hope I can make it over there soon to check out your new lineup.
Thanks, I will be having a party soon.
Quoted from Chet:Beautiful job. Both look very nice. If i might ask, could you please share where you got the blue Cab paint for your WW? Thanks.
Chet
I did a full WW resto a while back.
I added the WW blue I used and how to cut it with the right colors to make it just like the original.

Your WW turned out very nice.

I got paint from hobby lobby and mixed it to get the right color.

Thanks Tatman!
It was my first "full body" shop job/restoration so i went slow and steady (and spared no expense).
I learned a ton and had a blast discovering all sorts of nuances and tricks to fixing/maintaining pins.
I highly recommend any new pinball owner strips/cleans their playfield and at the very least re-sleeves all the coils and rebuilds the flippers.
You'll love the results and appreciate the game more than you can imagine.

I have my playfield stripped and removed inserts because some where lifted. I will put new insert decals from bay amusments . I removed the Mylar and no paint was lifted, I did the freeze methed .after the inserts are reglued in I will put a thin layer of auto clear ( DuPont chromo clear) then let it dry I then will put the insert decals on. I will do a think coat if clear and let it dry. I will then do a think coat of clear . I will then sand to get inserts level. Then I will clear agin and sand. Should be like glass after that. I have new plastics, ramps, color post, plastic protectors,

Holy crap that's an impressive restoration list!!!
I haven't had to do mylar removal yet but would like to try it one day.
Please don't think i was directing my previous response about "new owners should shop their game to get to know it" at you. It's a general statement I believe in when it comes to pins – or any hobby that requires upkeep.
I've followed your posts for a couple years now and know you're a pro when it comes to pins

I was just saying how I plan to do it.
