Greetings! We all love our TA/Solar City And Canada Dry games... however there is an issue with the switch blades riding on the switch dogs on D level that have infected many of these games, including mine, that will drive you nuts when trying to troubleshoot bonus scoring and handling next ball after bonus accrual. These blades get a lot of abuse during a game by the cam rods constantly hammering them during motor run... over time they eventually break, many times in a perfectly straight line so you wouldn’t know it by eyeballing.
It’s the A-9349 blade, see thread below for the Gottlieb catalog page that shows the blade, motor location of these two blades and what the blade looks like when it’s broken. I’ve seen several examples of this at shows and on service calls. I’ve also seen several games with the incorrect blade installed...that will pose timing issues as well.

I just got a call requesting service on a TA... Knowing issues with these blades I asked the owner to send pix of the top of the motor... BOTH blades were broken!!!
If you have one of these games and you haven’t been able to pin down a fix, CHECK YOUR BLADES!
