Possibly Last Ball interlock relay? Do you have schematics to hunt it down ?

I had an interesting scenario that happened a while ago that put it in that mode. Because of the angle of the metal behind the drain hole, a hard enough bounce will go over the trough switch without scoring and go to next player or ball. This happened to me once on the very last ball of the game and I was able to keep playing forever. I can only think that by not draining I’ve missed the condition that triggers the last ball relay, and it never can get to last ball again.
