Game is sold

Front Before
IMG_3602Large_(Large).jpgIMG_3602Large_(Large).jpg

Cabinet and head are getting sanded down to the wood. Dings dents etc are getting filled. Then sanding, priming, painting and installing new decals.
photo_(Large).JPGphoto_(Large).JPG photo2_(Large).JPGphoto2_(Large).JPG

First coat of paint is done. Going to sand and smooth a couple times. Top 1/3 of the inside cabinet is also going to be sprayed as well, then followed up when done with a set of mirror blades.

Nice. I would love to see the before (before the tear down) pictures as well, so we can get an idea of where it came from.

Yeah, I noticed that, will fix shortly.
Playfield pictures are before shopping it out, and unwaxed. Also have yet to install the mirror blades, and new flipper bats.

Is that wear around the scoop and the genie capture? Do they make cliffys for that?

Yes cliffy makes a set for it.

Come up and play mine!

Trade for an Xmen Magneto?

Zippy I need to get up your way, I went to the "Barcade" at 12th and oak last night to play their TOTAN but it is a little blown out and it was so loud in there that you couldn't hear the machine. It would be cool if larger arcades like that had headphone jacks on their machines.

#19 11 years ago

Or for your AFM : )

Yeah you do, bring the family - no quarters needed and no blown out junkers. (and free beer)

Pinball & free beer <perk>
Sounds like paradise!

If your getting a WOZ your probably going to have to put out a no trespassing sign to keep my Daughter and I away

#23 11 years ago

That TOTAN is amazing.... wish I had the cash.

I am open to trades, but I don't think I can do X-Men.

#25 11 years ago

That playfield looks to be in great shape. The genie looks to be slightly off center and mounted too high -- the green targets should be covered by the genie.

Thanks, I will fix that once I shop it out. I plan on pulling most everything off the top, waxing and putting all new rubbers back as well.

#27 11 years ago

Nice work Eric! I wish I had the coin right now. TOTAN is at the top of my list. Eric is a great seller, and very honest. Good luck with the sale!

#28 11 years ago

mirror blades look awesome on TOTAN! We put a set on ours and it looks fantastic

Nice job on the decals Eric; game is really turning out nice!

I prefer the treasure cove decals to the mirror blades...

No worries, I am going to work on selling it trading for an AFM first then come back to a Totan. Probably will miss this Totan but watch for another one in the future. I have a feeling you will do another ; )

went with the chrome ones

In front of the genie on the left side you are missing a plastic piece. My is broken also. If you find two let me know. I think there is one on eBay for 12.99 but is kind of pricey for one piece.

I ordered a couple clear plastics from pinbits. 8.00 for the skillshot plastic guard, and 5.00 for the ramp switch protector.

Here is a link for anyone looking for the same plastics.

The mirror blades are chrome. I'm waiting to shop it out before installing them as I don't want to lift the playfield up and down more than I have too, as I would hate to unnecessarily put a scratch in them.

Great restoration. How many hours you think you have invested?

#46 11 years ago

Really looks very nice. Probably the best artwork for any pin. i just picked up a nice one myself. $6500 is a great price. You did a great job. Most people here know how many hours you can sink into a pin.

Not sure, I try not to count, but I would say at least 40.

#48 11 years ago

Eabundy do you have more pics on photobucket or a hosting sight that I could look at?

#49 11 years ago

IMO - J-Pop made some of the most beautiful games ever created.
