When I picked this TFTC up i was looking for a winter project and this was perfect. I have say that when I picked Tales up the intent was fix for a quick sell or trade but now that I have a few games played looks like a a keeper, for awhile anyway.

Issues / resolutions:
Major wear around the scoop, added Kwik Wood covered with a Cliffy
3 columns of GI lights out, turned out to be a small project:
1st: GI Power board connector burnt, replaced
2nd: GI Power board damaged, tried to fix (my first time doing this) no luck ended up replacing with a XPin XP-DE5047.
3rd: PPB board GI connector was loose able to squeeze the connector abit to get a good connection.
4th PPB board had damage and did not look like anything I would want to sell to someone so I replaced it with a used board off eBay.
Problem Fixed

Broken and discolored plastics, replaces with a new set from CPR
Bumper damage / replace worn parts

After that everything was the standard cleaning and replacement.

$1,400 TFTC cost
$55 Cliffy's
$70 PPB board
$136 XPin board
$150 new plastic
$140 Pinball Life order
$50 Cointaker
$10 cabinet paint
----------------
$ 2011 total project

So the game looks great, after getting it back together, in my first game I broke a drop target and had to place yet another Pinball life order. Followed up with the touch up paint arriving today in the mail, only to be cracked open. I sure am glad they shipped in in a zip-lock.

This was my largest project and I can't wait for the next one.

Just remembered one last item to deal with however, I'm not sure if i can fix or need to replace. The last line on the DMD is out. All connectors look good. The rest of the display looks great. I hate to replace it, all suggestions welcome?
