Hey Gang,
I recently messed up the flipper control board on my TftC by wiring the coils backwards. I replaced all of the transistors on it and replaced the coils, and now the flippers work again though the left one stays up a fraction of a second after you release the button. I'm assuming these are related, but who knows.
After a day of trouble shooting we've discovered a few seemingly important hints:
1. if you move the flipper up with your hand, the second the EoS switch breaks contact the flipper gets a pulse.
2. The LEDs on the flipper control board light when you hit the flipper buttons. On the left flipper LED, however, it lights again when you let go of the flipper button. It doesn't do this when in attract mode. Only during a game when the coils are live.
3. We tried switch adjustments and cleaning on the EoS and button switches to no avail.
4. I checked for bad solder joints on the flipper board and coil/EoS switch. Everything looks good.
I'm stuck at this point, though I have a feeling it's something to do with the EoS switch or it's circuit on the control board. I've attached the schematic for your reference. The flipper in question is FLIPPER SWITCH "B".
Thanks!
