I will eventually have a Jurassic Park Wrangler. Sadly 20+ year old Jeeps with 200K+ miles are still more than $7,000 around these parts. And I'd love to eventually have a 4 door to replace my wagon. Yours is very nice, and good luck with the modding.

I like the Jeep and the license plate.

I finally got to join the Jeep club. Went to the local dealer last Sat for my birthday, with intentions to test out a Wrangler and a Renegade to see which I liked, then start a savings account to save up for 2 years for the hybrid coming in 2020 so I could get a Jeep on my birthday then. I've always wanted a Wrangler, especially a Jurassic Park one, but around here a used 1990s one with 200K+ miles still can't be found for less than $8K, and the 9 year old 4 door models I was finding with 200K+ miles were still around $20K. So price was a big limiting factor, plus after driving one it felt way more like a big giant truck than the sport wagon I've been used to driving for 12 years, so realized that for my lifestyle and budget the Renegade was the way to go. Of course I wouldn't consider anything but a Trailhawk, and they happened to have the brightest yellow one on the planet that spoke to me. ("Look how freaking cute I am. Take me home..")

I was going to wait and save up, until my work discount put it 1% below dealer invoice, plus $5000 in rebates, plus $500 extra bonus birthday discount (I'm not sure if that is a real thing or they just really wanted to make a sale,) plus my parents throwing in money for a downpayment just all happened to add up to "Happy Birthday to me!" So this is Bumblebee. BB for short. And I love her. I've ordered a few little decals to add to the Easter eggs inside, like a T Rex to chase the windshield Jeep, and a girlfriend for the Sasquatch on the back window, so she'll be "custom" soon.

It has the power top that I think just started with the new 2018 interior redesign. The whole top is glass with a fabric screen under it as a sunblock. One click of a button scrolls the screen back to the back window, and another button powers the front panel back over the rear panel and pops up a wind screen.

I looked and they still have the listing online, so this is what all she has. I didnt want leather or navigation, but I guess if you are going to buy something you intend to keep forever, getting “all the things” isnt bad.

Yup, 2.4 and pretty decent power. My Vibe only has 117 HP but is AWD and hauls everything. My Z4 has 225 HP and of course is a convertible. The Renegade is like a weird in-between of the two, but with more buttons and road clearance. I’m looking for things to drive over now, and wish it would rain so I can find a mud puddle.

Quoted from northvibe:

Hahahah I used to have a vibe the road clearance will be nice! Well and a boxy rig to fit things in. Does the vibe fit a pin? Be tight as heck I bet, em probably

You'd think the Vibe would easily hold a pin, until you shove one in and realize that the car frame opening curves in about 1 inch too much on the sides. If you behead the pin it would work fine, but I wasn't doing that the one time I tried it because I also had a truck available to use. I think the Renegade will, but I'm not hauling anything big for awhile until it loses the nice clean new car smell.
