Quoted from IdahoRealtor:

My parents offered us their 2000 Wrangler Sport 4.0 with 45k miles for $5k. Was Mom's (old lady) car purely for getting around town. It's in nice shape.
I'm 6'5" and barely fit in the damn thing, but at that price I told them we'll take it. Thinking my wife can have some fun with it.

The key is to take the doors off. I’m 6’6” and it is way less cramped without the doors.

ETA: great price, enjoy!

Quoted from mjs2:

Key is to get rid of that straight 6 and buy a 2007 or later. Gained so much leg room between the 2.

I have an 09 right now and I agree. Although my height is mostly legs, so it is tight still. It’s a summer vehicle though so I only put the doors on once a year to drive it to storage. Maybe since I’m not accustomed to them is why they feel so intrusive. I drove a 15 unlimited for a couple years as a daily driver and don’t remember feeling too restricted in that.

Went off-roading at a new park near us. Had lots of fun with the family!

I'm almost ready to buy a Gladiator as I pass the grand Cherokee on to my son. Any reason to not get the Willys?

We got a Willys for my wife and she loves it. Haven’t had any issues in the 16 months we have owned it.

Thanks, yeah I was told about the led lights. My reasoning is this:
I'm realistically never going off pavement with this truck. The Mojave would be my pick if money were no object, but it's too pricey.
The Willys , once equipped the way I want, will be about 54k. If I equip the Mojave the same way I'm at like 65k. I can't believe I'm even spending 54k just to get things standard on many vehicles like heated seats/ proximity locks.
The Willys is cool enough looking for me, and the Rubicon would be full of wasted money options I won't use. I like the suspension on the Mojave, but the fact they put a fancy hood on with a fake, non functioning air intake scoop just screams "poser" to me.

Honestly, my wife had a Rubicon Wrangler for a while and we thought we were going to get the Rubicon Gladiator as well. We liked the Willys a lot and really like that everyone doesn’t have one. Seems every mall is full of Rubicons around here. Not many Willys, but also haven’t been out as long so who knows. We aren’t planning to off road it anyway. We have a customized JK for that purpose

How did you get 2k back? I'm thinking of pulling the trigger soon before prices get even worse on cars with this world we are living in. I may go with a Wrangler to save some money so I can get all the options I want but then I'm sure I will miss the bed.

Not sure if they have them anymore, but we got a dealer incentive for $2k back on the Willys as well. We ordered it how we wanted. But we took delivery in November 2020, so things may be a bit different.
