Late merry Christmas/happy holidays. If you can offer any advice, it would be greatly appreciated.
A few days ago, the link on the Thing motor came apart. I've got it reattached, but now it seems Thing cannot reach the saucer. It's about an inch too short. Everything still works if I manually pull it to the saucer. The optos check out during the test.
Any clues on how to give Thing the extra inch it needs?
Gave this a shot, but it was not effective. The motor is already adjusted for the maximum I can push it outward.
Any other ideas?

Welp, to close the thread out, I was able to get it realigned by moving the part of the motor attached to the rod ever so slightly by undoing the set screw and fiddling with it a little. Not sure how it came out of alignment in the first place, though I suspect when the link fell off and Thing went limp, it moved the rod too. Thanks for the help everyone.
