I would start with the switch test, make a list of every switch that isn’t working right.
If it was working before you added the train mod and spotlights pull them out and see if you’re back to working. Then add them back one at a time until it starts acting up.
Changing bulbs with power on risks shorting something. You can avoid that risk by turning the game off while working on it.
