Here are a 3 great video's on how to do a playfield swap TAF in this case.
Well documented so have fun it's in 3 parts
Part 1 :
Part 2 :
Part 3 :
Have fun
Great videos. Always cool to see a neglected machine get turned into jewel. Drilling all those holes in a nos playfield is not for the faint of heart.
Quoted from monkeyboypaul:That TAF from Ireland "for a friend" is now mine!!
It’s a small world
I’m gone redo mine like new
Even a new cabinet and new boards will cost me a ton of money but the hobby started for me with a TAF so I’m gone do my first HEP
You can C here the current condition really rough but end of the year he will be like new

Those videos were great. I've seen a few game playing videos from tattyadams, but not those.

I think THE biggest thing holding me back from attempting a swap is the fact that some repro playfields don't have all the correct drillings. That makes me a tad nervous.
I've done a swap (another game) that had zero pre-drilled holes. Some make templates to match the holes; but i manually measured each hole. It took forever, but turned out well. As long as your not in a hurry, you will be fine.
Addams family is tough I did my playfield sway in 2012. A IPB repop but boy what a difference. Addams family played slow on the old playfield but on the new one like glass. worth the 100 hours or so
I'm tempted to do a swap. Been holding on to an IPB repro for a few years (or more). Just a little intimidated...

Have you done a PF swap already?

Quoted from rad:Nope. I'm a wuss...
Feeling intimidated by any big project with many steps, is normal.
You won't feel that way after your first swap.
I recently did my first PF swap, I left a little guide up there to help people start taking steps towards their first one... I can't recommend the experience enough. Long journey, lots of steps. Good journey. Lots of things to learn.
