Most suck. Seriously you need a real good one to even line up correctly.
But, if you must I would get Rapid Tac. Spray it on and now you get a chance to line it up the best you can. Rub any air bubbles out and let it dry.

I concur. That is exactly what I would do as well in this case.
I hear people using a wet method? Decal comes from little shop of games. Curly sells really decent products so im really not worried as this is a players pin. Not a high end restoration.
Most of that is taking about large decal applications like side art for the cabinet. Using Rapid Tac is a form of wet application. It allows you to slide it into position before it dries and locks down.
Some wet methods talk about soapy water and stuff. But then there is the long term worry about the decal adhesive being weakened or blocked by the dried soap residue.
Dry method means hoping to line it up and get it right as you are laying it down. Not forgiving, not for amatures.
