I'd bet money on the fact that you haven't reseated one or more ROMs properly.
The first time I fitted Gold ROMs to my TAF it did exactly the same thing, and from initial glance it looked fine but upon closer inspection one set of ROM legs were not in the holes, rather they were over the edge of them (if that makes sense).
