I feel like I overpaid a bit on my first 2 pin purchases; and trying not to here...So need the Pinsider's help on this one.

What's a fair price to pay for a fully restored TAF w/Color DMD and in tremendous condition? Not a HUO; but really nice condition.

Probably about 6K.

I would be very, very picky about details for that kind of money, but that's me.

Best to fully inspect before finalizing a deal, and take someone with you that knows TAF very well.

$6500-$7000

This is a problem with undefined terms like "restored".

For 7K, it had better have a brand new playfield and perfect cabinet.

Agreed but not sure on "new" playfield. The playfield should be professionally repaired, touched-up and void of and wear. All keylines should be solid and it should be clear coated and polish. Or, a repro installed.

After seeing what some call restored, you really need to define what you and or the seller are determining as restored. That one word and its definition will cause pricing estimates to vary wildly. A picture is worth a thousand words but seeing in person is believing.

Gotcha...The one I'm looking at is priced higher than that; $8500; I thought it was high; will go check it out; but will be very picky from now on; Pinside is making me a more keen buyer.

Thanks for the feedback

OK, agreed. I meant a new NOS or good repro playfield, or an old one restored to like-new condition.

That is a high bar.
