I don't know about the ones coming off.. but these are the ones going on:

Do they look right?

Quoted from Stack15:I wouldn't recommend adjusting the flippers past the guide holes unless not making that shot really, really bothers you.
No, I don't plan to adjust them. I am just trying to figure out if that is what Tommi did to get his flippers that high, or if I am missing something.
Quoted from lordnorth:Okay... so I got my A-12390 stops today. I pulled out the old coil stops.. and they are exactly the same as the A-12390 that I am about to put in.
To make things even more difficult, mine don't go as high as Tommi's even with no coil stop... the plunger linkage bangs against the "frame" almost before it hits the stop (maybe the coil stop stops it a 1/16 before or so...)
Tommi... do your flippers go the whole way down the the guide holes in the playfield, or do you have them adjusted up at rest?
I'll have to look and see when I'm near my game. I'll let you know.
My flippers go as high as tommi pictured and rest where the holes are. Still to make the bear kick shot on the roll is extremely hard. I can hit it one out of like every 6 tries. Mine is a reimport from germany if that makes any difference.
On taf, the lower flippers need to aligned with the flipper rubbers on, in regard to the alignment holes. Place a toothpick in the hole, rubber should barely rest on it. Rebuild kits and parts vary from each company. Either your plungers or stops are too long, or lower alignment is too low. My plungers/stops probably have some very slight wear, since it has a few hundred games since the last rebuild. It was over a year ago. The game doesn't get much action anymore.
I'm going to upgrade to a fliptronic 2 system in the future (bsd,tz etc). Flippers have a nice crisp feel and fast response. Taf gold uses flip 2. Fliptronics 1 systems play clunky and shitty no matter what you do. It's a poor design. A fresh rebuild with the right parts and proper alignment does help, but it can only take you so far.

Really? I thought that all games were aligned with the rubber off. That would give it the extra 1/4" we are talking about.
I am a newbie, so I could very easily be mistaken about this... Can anyone else confirm or deny?
Thanks!
Chris
Quoted from tomdotcom:I just align it with the inlane guide, rubber on. Screw the stupid holes...much easier IMO
absolutely, the holes don't matter at all imo.
