My 1992 Addams Family display has become somewhat unreadable and after a lot of googling I'm turning here for advice. A portion of the display, usually at a diagonal, does not light up making scores and text unreadable. The lights work fine, however - when it changes the display lights that were not lit before will light up. I'm thinking power issue? Controller issue? I've unplugged the machine for days/weeks, and checked for any corrosion/spiders/etc, and haven't found anything blatantly obvious.

Some photos are attached that do a better job of describing the issue.

Your display is outgassing and you need a new one. You can either replace it with another orange DMD or upgrade it to a Color DMD.

KevInBuffalo thanks, I agree after further research - although I still see people posing about power voltage and I guess I don't quite understand why the same light will work on some screens and not on others.

Any thoughts on https://shop.colordmd.com/led-replacement-display-for-addams-family-pinball-machine/, or recommendations for others? I have to say I like the idea of a color LED display, I specifically love this generation of pin for its non-TV type display, but the LEDs and color seem to keep it classic and hopefully more reliable.

Colordmd is a nice investment on your already nice Addams. Game just looks better in color.
