I just today discovered the app: tabletop simulator, which allows you to play computerized versions of board games.

I had not paid any attention to it as it only has 5 games that you can get for it. But it turns out there are like 10,000 games that home modders have done for it. I just spotted “heroes quest” (one of my all time favorite board games) and “betrayal at house on the hill” which was a lot of fun.

Anyway, my question- has anyone here used it? how easy is it to use, ie load games. When I try and load mods for games like Skyrim it can be quite tricky to edit files and make startups.

Also can multiplayer games be done across the internet? We have been playing online talisman which allows us to play with my son on the other side of the country, and I would like to do other games like that.

I got an answer back from the steam community. They said it can do multiple people, each on their own pc. Might make a fun diversion, i remember lots of old board games I loved to play
