Quoted from RedFive:

I am getting ready to do a full tear down to shop my T3. Looking for tips on how to replace those rivets. I already have that rare blue rubber to install a new one. The manual says rivets are 1/8 diameter x 3/16 length. Would replacing the rivets with a ''standard'' rivet work (i.e. correct size but without the "star-shapped part" on the other end of the rivet head)? Can I re-use the old ''star-shapped part'' if I drill out the old rivet carefully? If not, where can I buy that? Or would it be better to replace the rivet with something else?
Thoughts?

These are semi-tubular rivets. They use these style of rivets so the head part doesn’t stick out too much and deflect the ball. The back side is all quite flat compared to a pop rivet.

I would not use the star style washer on the back side of the new pad. Instead I would get a flat washer and use that.

The hand held tool for installing these semi tubular rivets is about $25. The rivets are a couple of bucks for 10. You can check out pinrestore for how the tool is used and they also sell it.

Send me a message if you need more info or want to do it another way. I will try my best to help you out.

Helping out a friend with his newly acquired T3.
Two questions. Is there really no rubber on the left outlane metal post?

Secondly, doesn’t anyone’s ball fly off the left wire ramp when making a fast shot?

I really think there was a screw up on the factory assembly line. I don’t understand why there would be the bare metal post on the top of the left outlane.

Replaced the post the exact style of the one on the right side. The rubber doesn’t interfere with the kickback at all. All allows for better nudging.

Added some generic pop bumper rings (lights only on top), blue light strip on the back of the left ramp, and a white strip on the bottom of the right ramp to brighten up the corner.

Quoted from MustangPaul:

I'm the second owner of my game and it came with the rubbers on those posts so maybe the previous owner forgot to put one on your friends game. Also check out the Stern Service Bulletin for a fix for the shooter coil. My coil locked on and I fried a transistor. The fix is to put on another dioed on the coil. I have had no problems with the ramp sorry. Have fun.

Do you have a picture of the service bulletin fix? Read the bulletin and it wants a little wiring harness. Sold out at Marco.

Did you just solder another diode to coil?

Quoted from koji:

Hello, was just wondering if anyone had the color files for Pin2DMD T3? Apparently they need to be formatted differently than the ones available on VPUniverse.
Thank you-

You have to contact the author of the color files, $25 for the files is usually the fee for the files.

Quoted from Don44:

I changed out my insert lighting with non-ghosting LEDs and I still have a lot of inserts ghosting.. Is that an issue with this particular game?

Games from this era suffer from ghosting quite badly. Invest in LED OCD board and your ghosting will vanish.
