Well went at it hard both Saturday and Sunday got a ton done!
- Removed and labeled basically every part.
- Started cleaning harness
- Cleaned and polished all ball guides and wire forms
- cleaned and polished plastics, amazingly only one broken!
- flame polished ramp came out great!
- Installed new t nuts in the new playfield.
- moved harness to new playfield and re attaching everything

Did you drill before installing anything?

tezting I have only 1 hole that needs to be drilled out, unfortunately, I noticed the hole as I was reinstalling the wiring harness... A lot of stuff is already mounted. So.. going to buy a drill guide to ensure I go straight through.

Thank you.
What about the other side? You did not need to remove any clear coat? For ball guide etc.

My Serial was in pretty bad shape and then got sanded off. Recreated almost 100% to the original.

Have you test printed?
I have tried the same but grey looks very off when printing on laser color.

Spent all evening cleaning and rebuilding the pop bumpers. The playfield need a slight drilling for the pop bumper bolts. Also requires the lighting, and finally added some awesome metallic stickers to the po bumper caps. Looking Better than new!

Looking good.
What drill did you use? I am not looking forward drilling in mine..

Annnnd this just happened cracked the surface trying to install those stupid metal dowels my heart just broke a little

what happened? Was it to tight?

Quoted from Soulrider911:

My suggestion don't even install them, I have never understood what they are for Anyway

Can you tell what went wrong? That might help prevent others to do the same mistake ☺️

Quoted from Soulrider911:

Lots of drilling required to make all the various posts and hardware fit.

So the pre-drilled holes are not worth anything?

Took a break from the playfield today to put the decals on the backbox, they came out amazing! I know folks are indifferent on the chrome ed decals but for me... it's more terminating

Looks great! Is the warning decal also from the same supplier?

Recreated the serials and they came out great!

Did you use laser color or injekt printer? When I printed mine on a colorlaser printer the grey looked like turd.

Not awesome, so far this playfield has posed challenge after challenge. Next up try to resolve left outline being too tight due to inaccurate dimpling in the playfield

Damn. How do you solve it?

#173 6 years ago

Have you asked the of manufacturer about the the fault of the lane? Are all pf affected? What is he’s advice?

#179 6 years ago
Quoted from Soulrider911:

tezting I think you will be good.. it just took a little tweaking... you have one of these playfields correct?

Yes. That’s why I follow your thread extra close. Need to know what’s ahead.

Hi,
Could you please share what exact holes where missing?
I will tell Peter so that next run of playfields will not have the same mistakes. Hope you will help future buyers ☺️

Quoted from Soulrider911:

Hey there tezting sure see attached image, it was a GI hole, fairly large miss IMO.

Wow!

What about under the playfield? Where all pre drilled holes there?

That playfield was just never meant to be. Problems from the beginning.

This sucks!!! Did he tell you why this happened? Was it pretty much a bad batch of clear/playfields? Short cure times?

Yes he did here:
