That playfield was just never meant to be. Problems from the beginning.

Quoted from Soulrider911:Well it’s been a while since I posted here. Some bad news... well, almost broke my heart lol. Had some friends over around Christmas to celebrate the finishing of T2. Game plays amazing!!! I have it so dialed.
So I walk in the morning after - mind you the game only got about 25 plays as I have 2 others - and I see this:
pay close attention to the advance, jackpot, and lite return lanes. MASSIVE ghosting. My heart basically broke.I have since talked with peter at Buthamburg, and he could. It have been nicer. Said he has not seen this at all. Turns out s flew others did have this issue. He is sending me a brand new playfield, which I am very thankful for.... however I wish I did a ball test beforehand, I am NOT looking forward to doing this all again, as I’m also right in the middle of a fish tales restoration. But as they say shit happens, I’ll get er dialed back in.
I feel your pain as I'm currently restoring a Funhouse. It's a ton of work and time to properly swap a playfield!
I bought a Getaway and T2 playfield from Peter. I bought the T2 to have as a spare as mine was actually in nice shape. When they arrived, the Getaway looked great, but the T2 had major ghosting on multiple inserts. After shipping the T2 playfield back, Peter did refund the T2 playfield.
Now my concern is for the Getaway playfield. It might be a few years before I get to this one. Obviously after installation, I hope it won't have the same issue as your T2 playfield!
That sucks!!! Did he tell you why this happened? Was it pretty much a bad batch of clear/playfields? Short cure times?

Soulrider911 did you get your playfield fixed? What a bummer!
Thank you for posting your rebuild. It is going to be very helpful to refer to this info and photos. I really appreciate the way you went about the rebuild and TLC on the details.
I believe you posted info on where you purchased the annodized nylon nuts but i cannot find it. Could you tell me the resource?
Thanks @timberone, I honestly am debating just selling it as is, I really don’t know if I have it me to tear it all apart again, I did get a new playfield yes. So the nuts are chroma nuts here https://chromapinball.com
Cheers

Just put it on the back burner until the FT is done...maybe then it wont seem like such a daunting task. Since you just have to swap the playfield, not rebuilding or cleaning each mech as you go along, it really wont take that long..
Good point cosmokramer and thanks for th motivation, and you are totally right. I honk I just need a break lol been going restore mode hard for the last 7 months.
I know the feeling, I spent a lot of time on a desw, nowhere near the complete teardown, but got burned out on it. Motivation will come back.
whats wrong with your old one? mines got some deep gouges and a chunk of paint missing near the hotdog.
The other issue i was able to resolve is the back lock not kicking the ball out... tool a lot of dremmeling, testing, finessing.. and now it like 99%!!
Looks awesome. I would love to do the same treatment to ours hopefully this year. Thanks for all the post also I'm going to order a lot of the same stuff for ours.
Quoted from Soulrider911:haha, Indy it sitting pretty as it is Next is a CFTBL I picked up
Cool!
Quoted from Langless28:out of curiosity did the new play field have any ghosting issues on the inserts?
Me to Soulrider911 ?
