Hi,
My T2 has no light in the left side of the playfield.
I have replaced the J115 connector and socket.
I have also moved the connector from J120 to J121 without any effect.
What should I try/test?
Quoted from Ricochet:Fuses for GI are F106-F110. Not sure what one is for the left side of the playfield.... worth a check.
I tested the fuses and they where all fine.
I also measured around 7.6 V AC on each fuse.
What is the next step? I really don't hope its a big problem...

Check the wires

Where on the wires? On the connector or? I guess its the purple and purple/white for sure thats not working

I believe they should go to one GI socket ... need to find it... and then the rest are chained from there.
If its not a busted wire you are probably going to have to start looking at components on the driver board...
Q10 is the triac for that section.
Try flipping over the small ribbon cable between the CPU board and power board. Its a longshot, but its a fast and free, just be sure to do it with the power off.

The T2 manual shows that Left Side GI is on J119, Is this the only GI that is out? I ask this as you have two GI connections on the Violet source.
Uhm I think so? Do you know what the other one is? It’s the whole left side that is out. Both top and bottom.
The only other gi issue I think I have is that I think the cpu in the middle (green wire) seems a little dim. But I have not measured the voltage on it yet.
Thank you all for the help. Problem is solved!
J115 Leg 12 on the socket was not soldered good enough.. What a stupid mistake.
But at least I checked all connections now and learned what to do next time.
