I recently bought a T2 and this place has been a wealth of info on fixing the little things. This is my first pin and I clearly could have educated myself better before buying. That said, I'm all in for fixing the issues on this machine.

My latest issue is that all the GI went out. It started with the right side going and a few days later the left. Research and questions took me to J120 which is clearly fried so I'm going to replace the connector and go with LEDs to hopefully prevent future issues. Someone suggested I also take a look at J115 which is where my wiring hack was discovered. At some point the previous owner soldered the wires for J115 directly to the board. The pins are gone and it's literally soldered to the board. It's a pretty decent soldering job so I can't figure out why they just didn't re-pin it.

Some questions:
How bad is this?
I assume I should fix it?
Should I just consider getting a different WPC Driver Board at this point?
Does anyone know exactly which lights are controlled by J115?

Thanks for all the great feedback. Good to know the direct soldering isn't something I need to fix immediately. I'll address it when I address J120/121. My main concern was I may do more damage by leaving it as is for the short term.
