T2 Appeears to boot, but only the GI come on, makes the usual Bong sound. DMD does not turn on, it is a brand new DMD board. MPU is new, Power board has been repaired and tested. DMD Display is brand new. Any thoughts?

Here is a short video of the MPU

All we can tell from the video is that the rotten dog MPU is booting properly. Let’s see where those ribbons are connected on the other boards.

Thanks. Tough to tell if the one that goes from top right of MPU to lower connector on dot controller is correct.
Red stripes on MPU should be on left side.
Red stripes on Dot Controller should be on top side.

I will double check tomorrow, when I have sunlight. I usually get these correct, but it does seem like I have one wrong here, or one is just bad. Thanks for the help Chris.

Lost my network connection so I haven't been reading many threads.

Check the ribbon cable at J603. The end that's plugged into your DMC is usually plugged into the DMD. The red stripe is on pin 1 but make sure the other end of the cable at the DMD is also correctly configured (red stripe at pin 1). When I look at your picture it looks "wrong" to me because the cable is usually "upside down".

Well I would say it’s booting fine. It’s probably stuck on screen factory adjustments. If the dmd is not letting you see anything turn the game on. Open the coin door. And hit the enter button. See if you get a heartbeat. Meaning inserts and everything else. Are you sure your dmd is not out gassed.

Also in the bottom of the cabinet you have a connector with 2 purple wires. Make sure that connector is connected. That’s power for the dmd also.

Thanks to everyone, I got it I just went back and re seated all cables and plugs. Only error now is the cannon is not at Home.

FOUND: broken wire on cannon board.

SOLVED: EOS switch was open just the smalled amount. Right flipper dead, left works perfect both rebuilt, new coils. Very odd.
