Had that happen to me about a year ago. The flipper button switch leaf blade is grounding out to the autofire coil plunger.
Here's a test: simply raise the playfield to see if the problem stops.
What I did to stop it was to simply remount the flipper button switch a little lower (had to drill a couple of new starter holes for the screws).
