I think I know the answer here -- read Vid's guide and rebuild the flipper. (lucky for me, I ordered an extra flipper rebuild kit with my last order at PBL, so I have one if that's the answer!). I just wanted to check here first.

When I turned my T2 on, I noticed that the right flipper sticks halfway up. It's a mechanical thing -- I took the glass off, and when I manually move the flipper, I hear it squeak. There doesn't appear to be anything obstructing the flipper from what I can see and if I push the flipper down, it goes back to the normal position until I flip again. (same thing if the ball hits it)

Looking at it closer, I see what looks like corrosion on the switch. Looking at the "good" flipper, everything looks clean. I know that's not normal, but is that something to be concerned about? Does that point to an issue with the flipper or is it just a coincidence?

I'm also including a general picture of the flipper mech, just in case there's something there that I'm just not seeing do to my newness here.

Thanks in advance for any guidance you can offer.

Quoted from LTG:

Looks like high power burn. File smooth.
Rebuild flippers.

LTG : )

What does "high power burn" mean? Anything to be concerned with?

Thanks for confirming the rebuild flippers piece, that's what I expected.
