T2 Factory Ground braid path

Hi all -

There is an issue with being the slowest T2 restoration in history - I forgot the factory path of the ground braid in the bottom and top boxes. I have pictures that I took and can for the most part follow - but where is the beginning and ending(s) of each piece of ground braid?

I'll post what I have here - but if you can share your pictures also I would really appreciate it!

NOTE TO SELF: TAKE WIDE ANGLE PICTURES TOO!! (or just draw a quick diagram sheesh)

You have everything you need for the base cabinet. The service box is your easiest reference point to explain it to you though I don't start there when doing them. On the side of the service box nearest to the cab front, it starts by being screwed to the service box. It then winds its way to the front right (right as in from the playing position) leg plate, under the right side nut of the coin door, up under the shooter rod housing plate, across the front of the cab under the lockdown bar, back down the other side catching the left side coin door nut and ending at the left leg bracket plate. For the rest of the cabinet, start at the other side of the service box. Screw the ground braid to the side facing the back of the cab, follow the cab back, go under the transformer, go up and double back on itself just at tab past the top edge under the front screw hole of the service rail plate, continue to the back right leg plate, under the plug box in the rear panel, up and across the vent screen and the down and across the left leg plate, back across the side toward the front going up to and ending at the other service rail plate.

Thank you for the great explanation! So I'm guessing you start at the far end and work your way back to the service box then. Any chance you can describe where the lines start / end in the back box also?

I start front left leg around to service box, then start the back half at the service box around to the rear and back to the front. In short, counterclockwise. I always make sure I'm an inch or two long on the ends just to be safe. Once all the connections are done, then I trim to final length. I don't think I have any pictures of the braid reinstalled for the head. Let me check.

I found some before pictures.

(1) Start at top right corner bracket screwed to it, across the back under speaker grill. (2) a separate small piece runs vertically across the one running horizontally and goes up into the lock area to ground the lock. The horizontal run continues to the top left corner and is screwed to (3) the left top corner bracket. (4)Cross over onto side wall and go under light panel upper and lower hinge brackets then screwed to bottom left corner bracket (5). Cross over to the bottom panel of the head and go at an angle to the grounding screw stiking up through the bottom and past it so the braid is under the metal channel that holds the speaker panel on the bottom (6). Staple on top of that piece at the ground screw and go back to the back wall and up under pcb metal panel a good 3-4" (7). Screw braid to the bottom right corner bracket and work your way in a direct path under the other side of the metal pcb panel (8). (1)(1) (2)(2) (3)(3) (4)(4) (5)(5) (6)(6) (7)(7)

It doesn't look like I had very much that showed ground braid too well. But for what it's worth, there are a few.
