I’m having a problem with my drop target popping up multiple times when it resets in between balls or the start of a new game. The game will pop up the drop target 3-4 times instead of popping it up once. Anyone know how to fix this?

@LTG- I got the switch working, however, it is a bit flaky. When I hit the drop target, it is sporadically working with "lock sequence initiated". But sometimes it is not registering. Any thoughts? Thanks!

That mech is a bit fiddly.
Can you post a couple of pics so we can see the target up and down and the switch?

Let me know if you need any other pics thanks!

Hit the drop target with your finger. Does it cleanly hit the switch actuator and activate the switch? Sometimes it will bind on the clear plastic spacer mounted to the switch bracket.
I hit the switch with my finger and checked the switch actuator. It is hard to tell if the switch was cleanly hit, but I noticed that the switch activator is below the target. Should the switch activator be held down by the drop target? Not sure if that makes sense, otherwise i can try to take a picture to give you a visual. Thanks!
Another thing i noticed is that I can wiggle the switch activator left and right, therefore, it has some 'give' to allow the drop target to hit the switch activator and drop below the switch activator arm.
Picture of what the switch looks like after I hit the drop target down with my finger - is it normal for the switch activator to be above the drop target after the drop target is down?

The actuator arm of the switch (blue arrow) has to be BELOW the flange at the bottom of the drop target (red circle)
The flange(red circle) presses down on the switch actuator arm(blue arrow) and holds the switch closed so the game knows the target is down.
The flange also looks too short or displaced in some way.

T2 target (resized).pngNo scratch that, I'm looking at the wrong thing - cant see from that pic - the plastic flange on the drop target should be contacting the switch actuator when the target is down, I just cant see it from that angle.

Thanks Russ, is there a way to adjust the flange so that it holds the actuator arm switch down when the drop target is down? The other thing i noticed is that the actuator arm of the switch appears to be loose, in that I can wiggle it left and right. Maybe replacing the switch would do the trick?
The microswitch may be worn out, possible.
They don't last forever.
You can transfer the metal arm over to a brand new microswitch and that may solve the issue.
It can take some fiddling to get it all adjusted.

Thanks Russ for your assistance with this Ill take a look this afternoon to see if I can locate a way to adjust the black plastic fange.
Well, really you can adjust the position of the switch body by loosening and re-tightening the little screws that hold it in place and you can bend the metal switch actuator arm. I assume the switch works in test mode.

Get a new switch.
I'll post pictures to help you with what things should look like.

IMG_0436 (resized).JPGIMG_0437 (resized).JPGI think my drop target issue is fixed (fingers crossed). I did some adjusting to the metal switch actuator arm and I haven’t had any issues after playing 5 or so games. Thanks RussMyers and LTG For your assistance and support . I think it’s now fixed, but If I start having problems again, I’ll just get a new switch.
Quoted from Nikrox2:Ideas on what could/should be adjusted to correct this?
Needs a thorough cleaning and check for worn parts. Stronger spring maybe.
