Just got this from a friend who doesn't have a clue about pinballs. Machine was working, and he tried to install some LED strips and things went south after that. He started moving wires and connectors around and the board started to fry. I haven't turned the game on yet, and just pulled the driver board out to look at it closer. I checked all fuses and bridges.
1. F106. He moved this from pin 5 to either pin 1-3. This is when c11 started smoking and blew its top. He got smart and finally stopped messing with it.
2. Only fuse F116 is blown.
Anything else to check knowing the problems listed above?
3. J120. I think he moved a couple of wires to different pins. I'll check the schematics, but what wire should be on what pin? Looks like the connector and header need replaced.
4. What is the best way to fix j115? I'll install header pins, but what about the nut wings? Do you replace that with a square molex connector or just solder the wires and cover with heatshrink then put the proper 12-pin connector on?
Any other advice?
