I'm working on a T2 with two interesting symptoms that developed recently.

1) During atttact mode, the DMD appears to lock up and show some split image. However, the playfield lights continue to cycle and attract sounds play normally. If I start a game, then the DMD refreshes, and displays normally thoughout the whole game.

2) Sometimes after the game ends and after the match sequence, the game will turn off and reset.

5v, 12v, and 20v on the driver board remain stable and don't waiver, even during the reset.

I'm not convinced this is a driver board reset issue since this is a repeatable issue happening at the same points, and I am able to play games without problems (even long ones and intense games with multiball).

As for what possibly might have led up to this: prior to observing these symptoms, the solenoid fuse was blown, four smd led bulbs on the playfield were melted basically into puddles, 2 others were dead, and a flasher bulb in the backbox was a little melted (but not as severely as the playfield bulbs). These bulbs didn't appear to have much in common with each other, and were in different rows & column in the matrix for the most part. After replacing them, they were working fine.

Perhaps it's an issue with the game or display ROMs?

I had a strange similar issue with a DE Rocky and Bullwinkle. The DMD would freeze about 50% of the time on the hat trick animation, however the game still played normally.
I replaced the display ROMs, and that fixed it.

Hm, maybe. The game ROM is coming up with a checksum error, but thought that was just because of the LED ghosting patch I applied to the ROM file. I'll try burning a new one.

Yep, burning a new eprom seems to have done it--thanks
