Does it say "RAM test OK" at the end of the display test? That PinWiki WPC DMD section indicates that bad or faulty RAM at U24 can cause a myriad of display issues.
Or you can try ordering the WPC High Voltage repair kit. It says it's out of stock, but that at least shows you the parts needed:
