The cannon solenoid will fire in test mode and the switch that detects the ball is working as well. The gun-handle auto plunger works to launch a ball and so do the the flipper buttons (they're set to fire the plunger and the cannon).

For some reason the cannon just goes back and forth and won't fire the ball not matter if you pull the trigger or press the flipper buttons. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

There is a switch under the playfield that will prob need adjusting. If you look where the canon is, there is a circular plate with a small half circle cut out - its about 7 or 8mm across. From what I understand the switch needs to open to allow the gun to fire. It is there as a safety thing so its pointing at the White targets and not up a ramp or something.

Mine took a fair bit of adjustment and getting exactly the right angle of the switch was critical

If you load the cannon during regular play, does the ball kick out on its on right before the gun finishes it cycle or does it remain the in cradle? If the cannon autofires at the end, it probably has its home switch adjust correctly under the playfield, if not look there. If this is a case, you might also get a error message when you enter the menu system about the gun not finding home.

When I first got mine, when the ball loaded it would bounce ever so slightly forward and that was enough to have the switch not activate, and after a small adjustment to the switch everything worked.

Thanks! I'll try this and let you know.

The ball never kicks out. It goes in and the cannon keeps moving back and forth. I think we may be on to something here...

Thanks so much guys! It was just that switch under the cannon that needed adjusted, like you said.

Pinside saved me a day of frustration.
