A friend in the pinball biz has a beautiful T Bucket Roadster he is selling. Beautiful car in excellent condition (both cosmetically and operationally). He asked me to list here as a trade possibility for a couple pinball machines (preferably later Stern Premiums). Kind of an off the wall ask on a pin website but thought we’d take a run at it.

Thanks.

That's beautiful.
What's a ballpark value of something like that?

#3 3 years ago

Definitely a driver looking at the carpet wear.

#4 3 years ago

What sort of value is he putting on it?
A list of the specs and when it was built would also be nice.

So, he wants to trade a nice T Bucket for two boring pieces of shit?

What's wrong with it? Clearcoat peeling off?

My dad had a roadster like that when I was a kid. You learned real fast about getting out of it with shorts on with the long tube headers being right there by the doors.

Yep, that and motorcycle pipes.
Got a nice burn scar on the inside of my calf from when I was in high school.

Yeah, I don't see any pooling or chipped off sections of paint either.

It don't look like no Chevy engine in there either.

Looks cool but I prefer to stick with an all original old school A.

I'm not a car guy at all & had no clue what T-bucket meant before clicking on this thread, but that thing is fucking cool.

Someone with a Munsters should put this next to it in their game room, that would be sight to see indoors !!!

I can't wait to see what happens when somebody in the pinball community gets their hands on this.

Hey, the pinball industry has already stolen his artistic style, so why not?

And I wouldn't trade my Jeep with obvious clearcoat issues for any Sterns.

Isn't that the highly sought after patina I read about in so many pinball for sale ads from non pinball folks?

#20 3 years ago

What's the point of painting it when it is just going to end up climbing over rocks and buried in mud? Again, way more fun than what the op wants in trade.

I meant to put the particulars in before...sorry. I'm not a car guy myself. I can get you in touch with him if interested. Car is beautiful. Paint is excellent runs great. He is selling it and needs the cash. He decided to do this as an option as well thinking he could sell the pins to get the cash. Thanks for all the comments. Somebody take this thing home.......value is in the eye of the beholder. He has it listed for $18,000 OBO

Here is the verbiage in his for sale ad:

1923 T Bucket Roadster for sale.
Super nice condition. The engine was installed 2 years ago. It’s a 351 Windsor with lots of extras. Extras include 4 barrel carb, high rise cross port manifold, high lift cam among others. It has Centerline wheels. Micky Thompson tires that are almost brand new. C4 transmission. New radiator. Corvette master cylinder for brakes. Front disc brakes. Lots of other brand new parts.

The car has been in the family for along time. We have had it for about 3 years and has only been driven about a dozen times for very short distances. It runs like a dream.

Did it sell or trade for pins?

#26 3 years ago

Actually just got traded for a very nice Corvette. Had lots of trade offers (mostly Harleys). This deal worked out great for both. Should be easier to sell too down the road. Appreciate the interest all.
