After a week full of financial surprises (nothing as drastic as Johnny's), overtime (I hate when all of my summer workers go back to school), crappy weather (whats up with the 50 MPH wind today?) I am almost in to minutes waiting for Indiana Jones, the pinball adventure will commence soon!

Pics tonight or tomorrow...!

Ha ha ha! Well I know I'd buy a ticket or two. Who knows? Maybe you'll be bored with it by then. Enjoy it in the meantime though. Sadly, I've never had a chance to play one. One of these days that will change. Maybe at Expo!

#32 8 years ago

Very nice Gorilla! I played a butt-load of Indy when it first came out, and I still can't get enough of it!

Indy or Totan is going to my next William's purchase.

#33 8 years ago

Congrats! Very nice pin! Tells how you like it!

#34 8 years ago

I really like IJ. Congrats!

Get the NOS lost plastic, still for sale in many places.

I like IJ, but there is too much emphasis on the ramp and orbit shots. Almost every mode is a video mode or ramps/orbits in some manner. I still like it though, and it likely won’t leave.

Also get the handle nickel plated by Chesnutt.

Nice looks great gorilla

First thing, the flippers are usually really strong on an IJ so when you shoot the mode hole the plate bends up. Move the plastic out of the way and grab the plate and bend it down. Never hurts to have some dead drop foam in there too, they sell it at pinbits.

Make sure that the allen bolt that holds the POA on to the motor is tight, it seems to be the #1 pain point with my POA. A little lock tight and you will be good to go.

Speaking of the mode hole deflector. I wonder if you could buy a Cliffy HS2 saucer protector, remove the IJ mode hole deflector completely, trim the Cliffy HS2 saucer protector to fit around and behind the IJ mode hole, and somehow mount it in place?

If you did that, it should make the IJ mode hole behave like the HS2 and MB saucer designs, where the ball can fly over the saucer, and then roll back falling into the saucer. Yeah, it's not what the designer intended, but the HS2 and MB saucer set-ups work so much better.

I'm tempted to try this.

Hey that looks great. Can't wait to post some high scores on it next fall.

I love the challenge!!

Thanks to all with advice thus far. I am looking forward to tonight, after football, getting under the glass and doing some playing!

congrats! ya let us know how you like it

Nice work gorilla, glad you finally made a decision and more importantly, were able to find exactly what you wanted.

#43 8 years ago
Quoted from guymontag451:

glad you finally made a decision

It was sort of made FOR me. The SM seller was way slow getting back to me. In a business where $3000 - 5000 routinely changes hands on a split second decision, it would seem important to return your messages.

Still want SM (even more than Indy, honestly) but I will patiently wait for the right one to fall in to my lap!

$1.9b is a really good score.

Quoted from donjagra:

The H S that comes with it is 3.2 bil. I would leave them up to try and beat but they used "ASS" for too many of them and I share the game with my grand daughter...

#46 8 years ago

Factory reset, you might not ever beat the 3.2 bil.

#47 8 years ago

I wonder if 3.2 billion was on 5 balls? That's a huge score!

I'd suggest the factory reset too.

Quoted from donjagra:

I have to take it down, just because of ASS. lol...but, the challenge is on!

3. the kid is good!

#49 8 years ago

I like all the modes of play with IJ...just my kind of machine. Have fun with it

#50 8 years ago

It's a deep game and I wouldn't sell mine. It would be one of the last to go.
