Let me know if you have one guaranteed working or not and how much shipped. I think all I need is the CR1 8 MHz crystal oscillator.

I ordered a couple 8MHz oscillators but not positive that is the problem and they won't be here until next week. Caps, resistors, and transistor tested within spec. Board and components look perfect. It is lacking pulse signals at U6 so that is why I suspect the oscillator. All other sounds working perfectly from the MPU, just no background music.
In general, I wouldn't mind having a spare board if the price was reasonable.
Great suggestion and I just tried it but no luck. Still no background music and appears nothing has changed pulse signal wise.

Yes, testing with a logic probe on the "E" signal, pin 34 on the 68B09. I got another b/g sound board that I was told was working but it still doesn't work.
Here's my post on it and still not clear why my voltage is -15V instead of -12V or if this is an issue? I wouldn't think so but not sure of too much right now. 5V is a perfect 5.0V.
