Picked up an Addam's Family this weekend. Upon test run at the seller's home, there were roughly 4 switch/solenoid warnings. (The leaf switch on the "G" target, one on the orbit) Also the usual "Date and Time not set".

I get it home, replace the batteries, and this cleared all the warnings (back to factory settings). Test runs do not show any of these problems even after several games. Did this clear out all the warnings? I don't see the infamous "dot" after "Free Play"

I'll test the switch I know isn't working tonight alone - (yes work, work, work) I just figured if the switch is bad and you reset to factory, wouldn't it detect the problem again?

The reset may have cleared what may have been a recorded temporary stuck switch. You could all ways test it both ways by taking out a battery and hold the switch open then reinstall the battery then boot up the machine and see if it gives you a code.

Reset the machine, then-

Then pull a battery again hold the same switch closed, replace the battery and reboot to see if it gives you a code again. Just a idea that popped into my head after reading your post....
