I was playing a game on my pharaoh, drained the 3rd ball and then it would not start a new game.I noticed the ball didn't advance in the trough so I manually advanced it and was able to start a game but all the solenoids except the flippers are not working.i checked all fuses in the back box and under the playfield and they are fine and i went into test mode and the solenoids did not fire.any help on where to start looking is appreciated.

Quoted from GRUMPY:

Probably just a fuse.

You're probably right lol
Ok i tested the square br by the fuses hopefully correctly.first power off i put + probe to + lead and - probe to - lead and got a very small spark from the - side.then I watched a video(should of done that first)instructing to put - probe to + lead and + probe to ac lead and didn't get much of a reading, around .001to .003. I didn't see any red and black wires except those in the plug.

Der... I found these and wouldn't you know one has a red and black wire and if i test leads one way I get about .5 the other polarity I get about 1.0

Quoted from GRUMPY:

Measure the black and the wire directly across from it ( orange ?). This is DC volts. Then measure the other pair ( red ? )in AC volts. If you have AC volts but not DC volts, you need a new bridge rectifier.
You also need to add fuses to both these bridges to prevent a wire melt down.

I'll check tomorrow i need to get a battery for my dmm.

Measuring orange to black in dc i get no reading and red to red in ac I get no reading.the br next to it gets a dc reading but not an ac.

Quoted from GRUMPY:

Sounds like the meter isn't working in AC.

Sounds like you need a new bridge rectifier. From your pic both rectifiers are original to the game, I would replace them both and add the fuse for each.

It could be the battery the new one was dead in the pack and I put the old one back in so maybe it wasn't strong enough to read the ac?

My local friend has a few extra he bought for his Gladiators,I'm assuming they'll work if so I could probably pick them up tomorrow and I may even have a couple fuse holders.

Someone didn't want them connectors to ever come off so I'm going to have to cut them off and put new ones on the wire.the new br only labels ‐ and 1 ac I'm assuming the other ac is across from ac and not next to it.

changed out both br and no change, still no coils firing besides flippers.

Machine powered on left br dc 26.5 ac 30 right br dc 19 ac 15.5 I did find this crispy connector and a piece on the far right popped off when inspecting, obviously needs replacing do you think this is our culprit?

I dont have a ground braid but if I black lead to the screw holding the board on or the metal rail behind the board I get 8 on the left and 26 on the right

Quoted from GRUMPY:

Replace the fuse with a good one.

I've pulled and tested all the fuses 3 times but I will replace it in the morning and check that the connector is clean and free of corrosion.

I couldn't wait and got out of bed and changed the fuse, a ball shot out and targets reset.i.checked the bad fuse again and it shows its fine but its in the trash now.once again thank you for the help.
