Hi Guys... I think I have an easy one for my first question here.

I know (believe?) that Williams stopped using DIP Switches to adjust settings somewhere around system 4... yet I have a system 7 Board Which still has the Row of DIPs.... I understand that there was some case for backwards compatibility. My question is, on a game like Jungle Lord where these DIPs exist, are they totally ignored by the game and have absolutely no affect on the game? I know that they are missing all together on later games.

    Thank you.

I could be wrong, but my understanding is that they have nothing to do with gameplay, there for diagnostics.

Actual under section 4 (flash) of manual used for bookkeeping.

For system 7 they're just for backwards compatibility, yes. Even on older systems they have no effect unless you're in the proper mode and then press the button on the board.
