I have a Hot Tip that display # 3 has the 100,000 and 10,000 missing. I have switched plugins and its not the slave display board. I checked the continuity between the wires and there good. So now its down to the master display board. I think its the 18 pin DIP display driver but I would like a second opinion on this before going forward and replace the chip.

Have you checked the associated resistors? I know there are some that like to burn up

A couple of the resistors FC 10 k had been replaced and the rest look go but I'll double check them on the.

Check all the resistors and all check in at 9.92 and 3 check in at 9.76 ohm hope that's within the range of the 10 ohm resistors? Not a master in boards yet but getting there.
