Quoted from fixintoplay:

Awesome, thanks! I did notice on the reverse (solder) side of the CPU, there are (-) symbols etched on one side of each of the 8 solder holes for that row of caps, so I was being cautious.
I do have another question about the C60 electrolytic axial which I am also replacing, but I have a radial of the same specs. Would that be an OK substitute, and does the "0" gray band indicate the pos+ pin? Thanks again!

The grey band with the "0" is actually a negative sign. So that leg is the negative and the other leg (which should be slightly longer) is positive.

Thanks for the responses! And you're right, one of the legs (the positive) is in fact slightly longer. I've got to figure out a way to remember that critical fact. So, generally speaking, axials and radials with identical specs are interchangeable as long as there is space available?

correct - and note that some board locations (like the larger filter caps) have through hole locations for either an axial or radial cap. If bending a leg from a radial cap back along the axis I would use some heat shrink (or maybe you need to add some extension wire).
