System 11 machines do indeed give a credit dot, right after (wait for it) the display of the number of credits on the displays. If A static credit display then the credit dot is in the credit window.
Most system 11s also give the full list of broken switches on power up (a couple of firmwares skip this).
System 11 machines also allowed for the knocker to fire repeatedly on power up when there were bad switches. It's a setting in diag. to turn this off (really annoying when it happens.)
The usual missing switch count is 30 games.
