Finally got my second Sys 11 a month ago to join with my WW. Bad Cats! In process of redecaling the cabinet as it wasn't a painted one. (Obviously!)

Quoted from MustangPaul:Very nice. I see you use skates to move pins, have you ever thought of doing this to them. The game will never fall of then..
I should. My buddy bought the ones I have in the garage for when I worked on his HS2. They are pretty crappy so thanks for sharing the idea.
Quoted from ahock13:Nice! This is a game I am interested in learning more about. Please post your progress as you go along. Or let us know if you create another thread.
Quoted from alexmogil:Looks that way - this is before I pulled it:[quoted image]
Many thanks!!!!!
Hoping someone can help me sort out this power supply setup too. I no longer have any SYS 11 machines of my own and my old pics aren’t showing this either. Figured this is the best place to ask before starting a new thread.
There’s this push on push off power button. Than it looks like they took the actual power switch and moved it to the power box. It’s almost like this box is for an early WPC power box.
I’d like to sort it out and make it right if possible. Otherwise I’ll just finish up installing the new power cord and call it done.
The pilgrim hat was broken so perhaps the cord was ripped out and messed up the power box so an early WPC was used.

Where can a system 11 noob find himself a nice lockdown bar? Or, is there a way I can spruce mine up to look new? Pinball life says they haven't any for a Cyclone.
You can use a WPC style but won’t have the bends in. It will look ok if you wanted new.
Quoted from alexmogil:Dmacy are you just wanting some pics inside the power box?
Yes and the routing from there to the switch. I’d possible ?!
Quoted from Doctor6:You're kidding. So I can get ine from Terry and it will work? This one just sorta looks like hell.
Yep, I’ve had WPC style on my own sys 11’s before.
Quoted from rotordave:Happiness is a shiny SYS11 transformer.
AKA “I spent hours doing this and nobody will ever see it”. Lol

Both 110% accurate. But it is beautiful. Nice!!!!
Will they actually work and have your support? I’d rather support Victor. He’s not flakey and his boards are far superior. Just my opinion.
Quoted from rogerdodger:Hey Guys....
Would love to find a restored or collector quality Earthshaker...
If you have one you are willing to sell, please send me a Private Message.
I will pay a good price and donate to Pinside
Thanks.
Roger
I just did one. I can ask if they’d sell. Send me a PM.
Quoted from Pinash:Is this side rail supposed to attach with screws? I’m rebuilding the entire area that the head sits on and these screws are an eyesore
[quoted image]
No.
Quoted from Jmckune:Can someone post a photo of how a system 11 with the side entry back glass lock is supposed to look? I see the part the lock is supposed to push on to hold glass In place but I can’t figure out what the cam is supposed to look like. Obviously the one in my picture is wrong but I am able to extend that one straight up but it looks like a flat one would not be able to hold it either in the fully upright position as it looks like it would just slide right past the lock cam.

You need this:

I have never used Wolfpack but friend has. He really likes them a lot and another friend just bought a kit for his machine. And they’re always super friendly at shows too…
Quoted from sullivcd40:I picked up a project Party Zone and found the batteries had leaked. Is this worth trying to salvage or should I just get a replacement? If replacement, which is the best? I couldn't find a wpc club thread so I thought I'd post here.

Step in here if you go new:

I generally replace all T nuts on a playfield swap but obviously not necessary on repair/shop job. You can also run a small 3/8" #6 hex screw next to the T nut to hold it in place or keep from dropping/spinning when removing posts. They did this a lot from the factory especially on lane guides.
Quoted from rotordave:Unfortunately, when you shop out a SYS11, you have to treat these (and their posts) as disposable.
About half of them are glued together with the strongest locktite this side of the space program lol
I put my battery screwdriver on the top of them - if the t-nut spins then you’ve just got to cut the top off the post, and push the post and t-nut back down through the hole.
New t-nuts and posts are reasonably cheap at Pinball Life. I keep a pile of each on hand.

That’s what I do. Easier to just plan to replace them all.
Quoted from SilverUnicorn:Sound question. Just got all my boards back for Whirlwind and it's running great again!
The sound is pretty loud, even with the volume pot turned all the way down. Is there any other adjustment that could lower the volume? For the record, it was like this before the board repairs were done as well.
Chris
Probably needs a new pot. Not that uncommon.
Quoted from Blackbeard:How does one tighten the pivot point on a slingshot arm? Is there a way to tighten if it’s too sloppy?
Best to replace both parts. Over the years they get hollowed out pretty good. And while doing that, I install a new plunger too. It makes a noticeable difference.
