Quoted from captainadam_21:
What happens if we sign up for this?
Elvira and the Party Monsters.
Yeah, what are we signing up for?
It's been a few years since I've owned a system 11. I've owned HS, WW, Taxi, Cyclone, and Pinbot. Sold them all off years ago for DMDs.
Well I'm back. EATPM. God I've missed this club. Such raw, fun, pinball.
System 11 epitomizes pinball for me. No "modes", no video games, no stupid toys that do nothing. Just beat your buddy's high score.
Love it.
Quoted from mof:
Wait a second. That was genius.
Is that the essence of what's different about (most) modern pinball to pre-DMD games?
Is modern pinball about privately beating the PROGRAMMING -- by reaching a final mode 60-80 minutes deep into the game, and NOT about it being a quick fun 5 minute SOCIAL event where you try to best a FRIENDS's score?
I was playing a modern game with a friend the other day, and he had a 15-20 minute ball, and I just sat there watching in complete awe -- and wondered -- "How is this good for pinball? (esp. socially speaking)" (That would never happen on one of my 80's machines... )
-mof
Exactly.
I think System 11s are a much better social pinball. DMDs are more player vs. machine/code.
On the hunt for another taxi now. THAT was a fun pin. And company loved it.
Quoted from ChrisS:
I think I commented in here on my small System 11 collection.
Just added another. Dr. Dude.
Anyone have some extra parts for this title. Plastics? Mix Master?
That puts me to 7
Dr. Dude

Radical

Diner
EATPM
Riverboat Gambler

How you liking dude? It's on my list but never quite sure about it. Also diner.
Quoted from rotordave:
My Pinbot arrived from New Jersey yesterday.
I now officially have all 30 System 11 pinball machines in my house.

Dude lets see some pics of the line up!!
I've owned many dmds, but I just find the System 11s the best. I get tired of trying to complete modes, etc. I just wanna play a simple pin, with a simple objective in reaching A jackpot.
I've owned a few system 11s in my day and the king for me is taxi.
I'm now playing a TON of riverboat gambler. If you have the means to grab this title, I highly recommend it. Just superb.
System 11 guys: Thoughts on Police Force?
I know it's basic, etc. but I like that. From what I've read, it's like taxi in that you pick up people.
Is there a progressive jackpot?
Quoted from rotordave:
Millionaire. Worse Sys11 game hands down. In all aspects.
rd
No way!
I thought Mill is actually not bad. HORRID colors and art, yes, but cool gameplay concept. Love the moving shooter lane. Mill isn't bad man!!!
Thanks for sharing that video.
Such a great collection. Sweet to see them all lined up together.
What are your top 3?
I too remolex using idc connectors. Easier and they match.
Crimping is a pain and really isnt necessary in home use.
Quoted from swampfire:
Okay, but would you make an exception for the GI connector? Seems like an IDC replacement would burn, same as the original.
I've done both. Even with gi I think idc is fine. Especially in home use and with LEDs.
Quoted from indypinhead:
I see that you have a screw lodged under your board GPS
Wow. Good eyes!
Guys: I may have to buy a bally gameshow as part of a package deal in order to get another machine I want. It's in super shape though (like most gameshows)
Just wonder how bad gameshow is? I've played one a few times and it wasn't too bad, but thoughts? I'll probably just sell it when I get it.
Quoted from rotordave:
It's far from bad. It's a great game. Cheesy callouts really mimic the cheesy game shows it is lampooning. Collect all the prizes for jackpot.
Always a favorite around at my place.

Thanks Dave. I did like it when I played one at papa. I'm sure it can be set at hard settings to make it more challenging.
Just removed my taxi not long ago.
Just disconnect the appx 6-8 board connectors that run from pf to backbox. Take a few pics or label.
Then have a buddy help you pull it straight out.
It was my first and like you I was apprehensive. It was a piece of cake.
Looks great.
Picking up a police force tomorrow.
Anyone know what the topper does? (Beside light up). Is that it? Does it at least blink?!
Pick up a police force. Highly recommend, especially if you like taxi.
Call outs are great and so are the sound effects, especially Croc's machine gun.
Great layout too. The flack it gets is totally not warranted.
Quoted from Ericpinballfan:
Just picked up a Big Guns yesterday! Love it, great game, a lot happening. Makes 3 system 11's now. Fire! And Riverboat Gambler round out my trifecta.
Anything else coming in soon?!!
Quoted from Ericpinballfan:
The cheese is out, the trap is set.
Sweet!!! Looking forward to hearing about it!
Looking for road kings, millionaire, or other sub $1500 system 11s within 2-3 hours of ERIE PA OR BUFFALO NY.
Quoted from rotordave:
Pool sharks is cool.
Bigs bunny is a kids game and if you look at it like that, it is what it is. I have people at my place who really like playing it.
Haven’t found any that like playing millionaire yet. Lol
rd
I love millionaire. Cool layout and awesome skill shot.
Quoted from JeffZee:
Anyone have some scrap backbox wiring? I'm working on a Cyclone, but I think Big Guns and Space Station would be the same. I'm specifically looking for a few inches of wiring associated with J1 and J8 on the D-8345 power supply. I'm looking at undoing some connector hacks. I believe I may have to extend the existing wiring. It would be cool to have matching color codes for my extensions.
...I'd also be interested in buying the whole wire harness. Don't care about condition.
Bay Area Amusements sells wiring.
Go there and search "wire". Then scroll down. TONS of gauges and colors.
Quoted from Alan_L:
A couple of questions on this High Speed I have.
Some of the graphics are worn off their inserts, how do I remove the rest of partially worn off graphics in order to install a new set?
There a couple of broken standup target faces. Will any type of rivet gun work with the small rivet and new target face from PBR, for example?
Thanks,
Alan
I’ve always just taped off around the insert and used really fine grit sandpaper.
It’s tedious work though.
Guys thoughts on bk2000?
I’ve owed most system 11s. This one I haven’t.
I like progressive jackpots and not sure this one has one.
Thoughts on it?
Thanks for the write ups.
I have played it a few times and thought meh.
Just thought owning may show me
Something different.
What would be the no-brainer purchase price for a bk2000?
Pin shows some insert wear, but looks and plays fine. At what price would you be an idiot for not buying?
Quoted from Daditude:
Do you have a bead on one?
Have you given up on bad cats??
Yeah. It’s in decent shape and wants 2200. Just not feeling the game though.
Quoted from Alan_L:
Are you talking about the diamond shaped emblem that goes on the coin door of some games? There's no spot for that on EATPM. Where are you looking to put this thing?
no he's talking about the BALLY logo that is attached to the top of the front of the backboxes, just above the backglass.
Quoted from BJM-Maxx:
Sign me up! I have a High speed, Diner, and now a Taxi. I posted this in the Taxi club but probably should have put this here.
The bottom row of the main display is totally blank. Top row works fine, the separate 7 digit display works fine. I have a Diner with a led replacement display so I swapped it into Taxi but I had nowhere to plug the 7 digit in.
Now I get info on all 4 player sections. Top row (1 and 2) look fine as before. Bottom row player 3 looks mostly fine but missing the occasional segment. Player 4, the display is working but all the inner extra segments are lit all the time make it impossible to see the main segments displaying words.
Swapped the display back into Diner and it looks normal again. Any idea how to figure out what is happening?
One other question, how do I get the Taxi topper to light during test? It does not seem to operate during solenoid test mode.
This sounds like a ribbon cable issue to me. Try fiddling with the display ribbon connector and see if the issue comes and goes. And where the cable plugs into cpu.
Quoted from jdemarti:
I have a Pinbot. For the most part it works great, but sometimes during play the machine will just stop responding You can still hear the music and see the lights, but the flippers and most everything else just stops responding until turn it off and back on. It has new batteries in it, so that's not it. Any suggestions on what it could be?
Thanks[quoted image]
Has the ps been rebuilt ever?
Quoted from uncivil_engineer:
Does anyone know of a source for Rollergame cabinet decals in the USA besides classic Acades on eBay? I have the honor of being banned from buying from him because I had the gaul to return something.
Just have a buddy buy and send to you
