Quoted from VolunteerPin:I know that trying to do some major cabinet work is above my skill level. I'm taking baby steps and so far I've learned a few things in the process which has been fun. 6 months ago I never thought I'd be changing out caps on a power board, but I've done it now and it actually fixed something.
I guess worst case scenario for me is that I have a working game which is missing the sounds and voice and the beacon light. I guess those can be addressed at some point in the future if I cannot figure out a fix.
Wood working is really simple, getting it ready for the stencil is easy, it's using the brand of stencils I'm using is what sucks, no registration marks to go by, the application paper is WAY to sticky, there is NO overlaping of the colors like on the original games so the registration has to be PERFECT and to top it off when they numbered the stencils for order of application they got the order numbers wrong, which I caught.
Have you thought about sending your sound board in and have someone troubleshoot it?
