pacmanretro I recently got an 11A board on eBay for $75 shipped. Haven't dug into it to see what repairs are necessary yet though.

Well Chosen_S I was able to use an 11b sound board in a 11a machine. With that said, 11c is the least flexible. Does it have similar plugs and locations for the sound roms? Maybe GRUMPY can weigh in too.

Volts don't matter on capacitors as long as UF matches and you are meeting the minimum volt amount. Did you install any backwards or in the wrong spots?

#3086 3 years ago

What did you use as ground when taking the measurements? A bad connection in the backbox to ground could result in weird readings.

mystman12 contact cleaner or deoxit might do the trick

Quoted from mystman12:

Correcting the fuses on my new Taxi, and I'm not sure which fuse to put in F4 of the AUX driver. Manual says 2A, guide in the cabinet says 2.5A. Which is correct?

I'd lean towards lower, so 2A

Quoted from Pinash:

Is this side rail supposed to attach with screws? I’m rebuilding the entire area that the head sits on and these screws are an eyesore
[quoted image]

Looks like a WPC rail.

Quoted from Blackbeard:

Good way to clean contacts is to squeeze em between a business card and slide the card back n forth a little.
Glad you figured it out.

Or as vid1900 would say, use a crisp 100 dollar bill to clean those contacts!

Quoted from Manimal:

Question for the circuitry gurus:
Continuing on this resto, I'm going to re-pin all of my Diner Sys 11C boards, and I figure I might as well replace C24,C26,C29 at the same time. Book calls for 100ufd 25V. Looking at the caps on the board, they show 100uf but 35wv (working voltage). Will either of the 25V 100uf caps I previously sourced from Mouser work as a replacement? Or do I need a higher voltage cap?. New 25V caps are a bit smaller and got me to thinking I was under-sizing the replacement.. Thanks

25v will work. Going higher is always ok, not lower.

Quoted from sullivcd40:

Is there a chart for coil resistances somewhere? I can't find what they should be in my PZ manual.

Will this help?
