Just picked up a Bad Cats, that takes me up to an even dozen System 11's!

#1152 8 years ago

BadCats is an awesome pin.

I sell the PF plastic protector set if interested....15 pieces

That's not a typo...15 protector plastics...polycarbonate...indestructible. cnc machined, 1/16 thick:

https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/new-product-badcats-plastic-protectors

ready to ship right now

#1153 8 years ago
Quoted from rockeeraccoon:

Sign me up! Got my first pin, Fire!, after months of waiting and watching the market.

Just nabbed my second pin! Found a Road Kings for a great price. Works fine but needs a good cleaning inside and out though. The previous owner had never seen the inside of the cabinet head until I opened it. Then I ran the test cycle. Blew. His. Mind. Well, that last part might be exaggerated in my memory.

Bet that was the one from Red Wing on CL? Looked like a great price!

Welcome! Space station is my favorite game, says a lot from the looks of a few of the games I have... Once you get good at the left dock shot and the ramp shot, the game starts to sing, amazing!

I'm confused, why isn't Fire!, Earthshaker, and Riverboat Gambler in this linked games?

My Pinbot arrived from New Jersey yesterday.

I now officially have all 30 System 11 pinball machines in my house.

#1167 8 years ago

And it thought I had a sys 11 fetish going on! Lol! Congrats RD, have a blast with the new addition!! I' d love to score a pinbot, but have to make do peace with sourcing older titles within 1500 Klm of my location ...and I knock out a wall or 2.

On different note, can anyone please tell me what the error message "collect b.h.o." means? This would be on startup of my new to me Grand Lizard that has a few issues to sort out. Thanks!

Congrats RD.

That is a fantastic goal and achievement ESP. when your working deals across the big pond like that.

Dave's collection is outstanding and the space he built for it is really nicely done.

Sounds like you need an addition to your game room. Time to attach a new building.

It has been discussed ... But I have pretty much everything I want now, so the garage will make do for the overflow.

Will do soon! Big mess right now.

If only I didn't live 1/2 way across the globe, I'd fix em and shine em all up, then do it again... congrats on all 30 games!

#1177 8 years ago

I've owned many dmds, but I just find the System 11s the best. I get tired of trying to complete modes, etc. I just wanna play a simple pin, with a simple objective in reaching A jackpot.

I've owned a few system 11s in my day and the king for me is taxi.

I'm now playing a TON of riverboat gambler. If you have the means to grab this title, I highly recommend it. Just superb.

Sign me up Taxi, Grand Lizard (pending sale to get a...........Diner) Hoping to find a player condition Diner so keep your ears, eyes, noses, and toeses open for me thanks.

I have a CPU/Driver board compatibility question:
I picked up a project High Speed with some pretty good damage due to a transistor fire, looks like. I've been looking for a replacement Sys11 Board. My question is, exactly which Sys11 revisions will work on this machine? Somewhere I think I read that B and maybe C revisions will work, but you have to stuff the audio components? Has anybody done this? Are these parts available? Advice please. Thank you,

Mike

Sys11c have no sound components on the board.

You could buy a Rottendog replacement, they fit all machines. But they are $349 for the one with the a/b sound board included.

System 11 guys: Thoughts on Police Force?

I know it's basic, etc. but I like that. From what I've read, it's like taxi in that you pick up people.

Is there a progressive jackpot?

Fun game that will rape your ears. It's my least favorite system 11 for sound.

No way!

I thought Mill is actually not bad. HORRID colors and art, yes, but cool gameplay concept. Love the moving shooter lane. Mill isn't bad man!!!

Also where is Truck Stop?

Truck stop isn't an 11. It's a Bally game.

Every Sys11 has its good points. So I like em all. Millionaire is at the bottom though.

For me, Millionaire, Bad Cats and Pinbot.

Most of the others, just been in the right place at the right time.

And don't forget, I've had some of these for a long time now.

What was so hard about pin bot? Just rare in NZ?
What's your top 3 sys11?

#1196 8 years ago
Quoted from Kneissl:

Yep, some titles are pretty thin on the ground here.

So I needed to find a suitable one in the states, near to a port, at a reasonable price, that wasn't buggered. Took a year.

Don't really have a top 3. Depends what day it is. Today I played F14, Taxi, SOF (GC! Nice!), Pool Sharks, Dr Dude, Road Kings, Grand Lizard. Because they were on.

I've always liked Swords of Fury, wayyyyyy before it became the popular title it is today. And Dr Dude. I would have had those two for ten years now I guess. And I still play them all the time.

I bought my first F14 in around 1992. I sold that one, and got another one a few years later. One of the true pinball classics.

rd

#1197 8 years ago

Here are mine. Gone but not forgotten are SOF, F14 and Earthshaker. I absolutely loved ES but in the end, the fact you couldn't relight the jackpot just took the edge off it. One had to go so I kept WW and let ES go. Would still have another one day though

image.jpegimage.jpeg

Taxi got the full treatment. New cpr pf and back glass, cab decals, ramps and pinled display.
Sorry, deleted all my phone pics with taxi on it, only have this one.

Here's my old line up

System 11 games are simply the best. Great era of games

#1198 8 years ago

Dude! I gotta go visit rotordave! Nice video!

#1199 8 years ago

After tracing problems on my Space Station I am noticing several loos connectors on on my boards. I have read more than once on the advice of replacing old connectors.

I am a little confused by the selection of Molex connectors when looking at GPE site.

First off does my System 11b machine use mostly .156 KK style connectors?

like this? https://www.greatplainselectronics.com/products.asp?cat=86

RotorDave suggested a while back to order the ultimate molex kit from Pinball Life. That kit appears to be the punch down style IDC. Aren't the crimp ones much better. http://www.pinballlife.com/index.php?p=product&id=1642

I am considering this crimper http://www.amazon.com/HT-225D-Cycle-Ratchet-Crimping-interchangeable/dp/B007JLN93S/ref=sr_1_1

Any other tips on what to order would be appreciated.

#1200 8 years ago

Yeah, stay away from the IDC connectors. The crimp style connectors take a bit longer but your connector will be bulletproof afterward.
