I was just playing my Demolition Man, listening to Sly tell me shit's about to get blown up and how you have to send a maniac to catch a maniac so I started to wonder. Who has the most licensed pinballs related to their movies, and I thought it had to be Stallone. We have Rocky, Judge Dread and Demo man all 3 being Stallone driven movies and I know there has to be another one or two of them out there I am missing as well? The only person who could have Sly beat would be Arnold I would imagine. Lets start a list.

Yea, Arnie's mug is on Terminator 2 & 3 and Last action hero.

    #3 10 years ago

What about Elvira? She has at least three, no? Elvira, Monster Party, and Scared Stiff.

    #4 10 years ago

I know it may be a little off from being directly licenced to all the films, but Harrison Ford has made it onto at least 4 pins, with 2 Star Wars and 2 Indiana Jones pins, I wonder if he has got onto any more????

    #5 10 years ago

Elvira has three ? I know about the two really good ones

The only time I've seen three was in the movie Total Recall

    #6 10 years ago

Brokedad.... you have a very very dirty mind

    #7 10 years ago

Good 'ol Hef has 3 with Playboy. There is 3 or 4 different Harley Davidson versions. It's probably a 10 way tie with 3. LOL!! ya BD....total recall..........

    #8 10 years ago

If only they had made a RAMBO pin, I mean come on how cool would that have been?

Or Rocky IV. hahah "I MUST BREAK YOU"

    #9 10 years ago

we also have 3 star trek pins

here's a Rambo french made machine.

    Stallone have a nice Mustache

A Rambo pin would have been great...But Stallone can't claim Dredd. Thats based on the comic itself and has no ties to the movie at all.

Bill Paxton, Apollo 13, Twister, and he had a small part in the Terminator movie, As the punk leader IMDB. so by association Terminator.
plus the Bill Paxton pinball machine.

    #12 9 years ago

Speaking of Bill Paxton, it's a shame they didn't make a Weird Science pin. What a missed opportunity.

    #13 9 years ago

Ya, Stallone can't get Dredd credit. The comic was cool the movie should have been less comical, and more serious. I always thought Clint Eastwood should have starred in Dredd.

    #14 9 years ago

Kevin Bacon has to be connected with any movie based machine SOMEHOW.... doesn't he?

    #15 9 years ago

    Here are some obscure ones...

Gary Oldman (3): Batman TDK, Bram Stokers Dracula, Lost in Space
Heather Graham : Lost In Space, Austin Powers
Orlando Bloom: Lord of he Rings, Pirates of the Carabean
Seth Green: Austin powers, Family Guy
Jeff Goldbloom: Jurrasic Park, Independence Day
    Mike Myers: Shrek, Austin Powers
Keanu Reeves: Johnny Mnemonic, Bram Stoker's Dracula
    Pamala Anderson: Baywatch, Barbwire
Mel Gibson: Lethal Weapon 3, Maverick.....
.... and someone SHOULD have made a Mad Max or Road Warrior pin!!!!!

    #16 9 years ago

Wow! Old thread. A Matrix pin would have been the shiz.
    .

    #17 9 years ago

Yeah, Judge Dredd has nothing to do with the movie (maybe it's this initial wrong impression that keeps the game from being too popular), other than they mention the upcoming film in the advertising for it. John Trudeau was asked if he wanted to do the film license and he said he'd stick with the comic version. What an outstanding decision on his part.

And... there's a new Dredd film currently in production with Karl Urban as the lead.

I think Arnold may have the most appearances in a pin (T2, T3, LAH), next to Gary Oldman (BSD, BDK, LIS).

What are the chances that both of these guys tend to show up in the best games?

My runner-up has to go to Tim Curry. The dude shows up in two of my favorite pins, The Shadow & Congo.

BTW....we need to add Ian McKellen to the list. The dude shows up in The Shadow and Stern's LOTR.

What is the criteria for qualification? Does the actor's likeness have to appear somewhere on the game? What about voice calls? If the only qualification is simply starring in the movie that was licensed, then I agree that Harrison Ford is the king.

Now that think about it, William Shatner may be the ultimate pinball God:

    1) Star Trek (1978)
    2) Star Trek (1991)
    3) STTNG - The two crews crossed paths in "Generations"
    4) TZ - He was in a couple of the original episodes.
    5) Rescue 911

    Did I miss anything?

    #21 9 years ago

I'd probably rate them based on appearing in the artwork somewhere (even if its just a photoshopped promotional picture of the actor on a Stern machine).

Btw Maldoror, I was just playing a few games of Demo Man a few days ago. Not a game I would spend hours on marathon-style, but its definately fun for a few continous games.

    #22 9 years ago

and what about hugh hefner and the play boy machines ?

I know this is an old thread but Harrison Ford wins, Han's down.. (pun intended)
    Indy WMS,
    Indy Stern
    Star Wars. Sonic
    Empire Strikes Back, Hankin
    Star Wars DE
    Star Wars Trilogy. Sega

    http://www.pinballnews.com/learn/related/index.html

I Think Star Wars also wins the most pins based on the same subject, 5 in total, when you also count Episode 1.
Star Trek coming in Second with 3 pins.

I gotta call bull*hit on Shatner and STTNG, he may have been in the movie, but he's nowhere
to be seen on the STTNG pin, so that's a no-go as far as I'm concerned. Shatner, only on 2 pins.

If his image/likeness doesn't appear ON the pin how can you qualify him as a king of a licensed pin?

Im just saying pins based on the same theme, But if you want to get real technical The Pool /Billiards theme wins for the pin based on the same theme. But Harrison Ford still wins for his likeness being on the most Pins.

    Break shot
    pool player
    Roto Pool
    Pinball Pool
    Sharkeys Shoot out
    Eight ball deluxe
    Eightball
    8 ball
    15 Pool
Bad Girlz Actually the lost goes on and on....

Actually looking at it now R2D2 IS THE WINNER. He is on all 5 star wars pins. Harrison Ford image isn't on Empire strikes back, or the sonic Pin, So he's only on 4.

    PinballR2D2.jpg

    #27 8 years ago

R2-D2 may actually have the most character appearances, but the original questions was "Who has the most licensed pinballs related to their movies'. R2-D2 is not an actor that has movies he appears in, he is a character in a series of movies/books etc etc. I think Harrison may just have this one.....

    Quoted from Leigh:

Yea, Arnie's mug is on Terminator 2 & 3 and Last Action Hero.

There is also a pin called World Defender that has someone on it that looks very like Arnold and there is a voice on Transporter that is a joke version of Arnold.

    #29 8 years ago

Does the fact that there is a tiny actor inside R2D2 count? Or does it only count for 1/2? Sorry couldn't resist.

    #30 8 years ago

Yes I considered the short guy inside...what's his name again?

Stallone is in Last Action Hero actually, so they are even Steven.

    #33 8 years ago

arnold is also on total recall. it was a never released game. i think they only made 1 prototype.

    #34 8 years ago

    Michael Crichton maybe?

He has Congo and JP 1 and 2. Possibly another machine I'm not aware of.

    #35 8 years ago

Crichton also wrote the screenplay of Twister.. so that makes 4

Yes, he had a short cameo.

    Quoted from captainadam_21:

That's probably the most by any author.

When Predator comes out, it will mark another one for Arnold.
