I've not been able to find any spinner target decals available for Swords of Fury, so made my own using a digital camera and Photoshop. If you need some, send me a private message (PM). Here's what they look like. They are ink jet printed on high quality vinyl decal material and face laminated with mylar.

Wow, I didn't know so many people needed these! Thanks for all the PM's!

While restoring my SOF, the mini playfield was pretty rough, as is usually the case. Since I can't find anyone who sells restoration decals, I scanned the playfield and redrew the images pixel by pixel. Then I output vinyl decals on my inkjet printer. I'm pleased with the results. I will cut these out, apply them, and then clear coat the playfield. Send me a private message (PM) if you have questions or interest. Pictures of the original playfield and new decals are enclosed.

Nobody sells those flippers any more. Closest thing you might get is a yellow one from a different game. My original one was ugly, but not broken. I spray painted it with 2 coats of Rustoleum white semi gloss enamel. Turned out nice. 3D printed ones would not hold up.

So here's the result after applying my vinyl decals to the mini playfield. I touched up the playfield with black paint, applied the decals, and then coated it with Rustoleum Ultimate Polyurethane Gloss. There's one coat on it now. I will do three coats to fill in the woodgrain and paint checking from the original surface so it is smooth, glossy, and durable.

I did not decal over the insert decal (sword) because:

- it didn't need it
- the white vinyl decal material would block the flasher
- there are already translucent sword decals available from a variety of suppliers (which I also have one of but don't need)

Thanks for the question. Another photo...

If anyone needs the little decals on the upper ramp and 5 bank drop target box, let me know. "Advance Bonus..." and "Moving Lit Target..." These are yellow text on black vinyl with mylar lamination. I made some when I realized my machine was missing them. I only charge for the cost of making them and mailing them. Send me a PM.

Since I've been making some digital artwork for decals lately, I also decided to make target decals. The stock stand up targets are plain white and get rather dirty and stained after years of use.

The artwork matches some of the plastics already used in the game. Below are pictures of the target decals that I printed on decal vinyl and laminated with mylar. There's a template line for cutting the circles that I cut out with cuticle scissors without difficulty. If interested in how to get these, send me a Private Message.

I just replaced all the flipper assemblies on my SOF. Purchased the complete assemblies from Pinball Life. So many of the original parts were worn that it just made sense. I don't understand the question about the mini flipper. If you just replace the original assembly with the correct new one, all is good. The game plays way better with new mechanisms. No problem at all to reach the back ramps with the lower pair of flippers - and using the correct coils.

Cracks me up. When people say they picked one up, they really mean they spent a butt load of cash.

Here's a nice photo of the Spinner Decals I've been developing to replace the worn out OEM ones. They pretty much look identical to the OEM. Photo courtesy of Buffalo Pinball.

In case someone needs original plastics, mine are for sale on ebay. ebay.com link:

I would like to point out that these original plastics in my opinion are MUCH better than the reproduction ones sold on all the supplier web sites. The original ones have more fine details and the colors are correct. The repros make everyone's faces RED instead of orange. In fact all orange colors on the repros are mistakenly red for some reason. Example picture...

Quoted from nerdygrrl:

So it looks like, no you can't actually use the upgraded flipper mod on the mini flipper because there is not enough clearance and you will short out a switch column. This was literally the last piece I needed to install to finish my PF overhaul. ON top of this, I mangled the EOS switch trying to get everything sorted in there. Oy, somebody bourbon me.

I just purchased complete new flipper assemblies for all the flippers from Pinball Life. When you use all new parts, the whole thing just works better than replacing one piece at a time. In my opinion the new standard assemblies work perfectly fine without needing spring mods.

I'm going to start a new thread called "Swords of Fury Fix-Up & Mod Tips". There will be more details there, but here's a summary for this thread. More...Please note the BEFORE AND AFTER photos of the mini playflied. I think the restoration of this very challenging artwork using decals and polyurethane went really well! That was my biggest concern about this machine.

Quoted from CaptainNeo:

lose the color LED's in the backbox. they look terrible. Other than that, it looks fantastic.

I am going to try getting a new restoration back glass artwork from the source Captain Neo mentioned in an earlier thread. Mine is so faded and yellowed, I'm using colored LEDs for now to hide how it really looks. But with a good and proper back glass image, I'd use warm whites all the way.

If anyone needs a set of used upper and lower ramps (no hardware included), please see my link. These have some repairs done to them but work okay.

Question: When I first switch SOF on, it just buzzes. I turn it off and back on again and the game boots normally. Been this way for a year. Does not make a difference if the boards are ice cold or warmed up. Replaced the main power supply board with a new one - problem remains exactly the same. Could it be the auxilary power supply board? I was thinking maybe the bridge rectifiers on it. Advice?

For those who like their flipper buttons lit up really well, I just installed the new BriteButtons kit from Pinball Life for System 11 games. These just came out today. They include an easy to install plug & play 12 volt power tap. So there's absolutely no cutting wires or soldering. They just run a wire from the back box to the base cabinet and screw in with a set of included new, clear flipper buttons. I have them shown here on my Swords of Fury with a gold-yellow color. The kit has a wired control that lets you set the buttons to blink or flicker like a candle, if desired. (these also connect to System 9 games like Space Shuttle)
I also installed them on Pinbot.
