This is another one of those games that I really wish I'd had the time to restore myself. I first saw the game years ago at a friends shop and had to have one. He found and sold another one to me several months later. I bought an NOS playfield for it, and also managed to find an NOS translite AND plastic ramp! The only one to this day that I've ever seen available. I went through the game and shopped it out nicely enough and kept it for years with all the parts in the hopes that I'd eventually get around to putting all the new goodies into it. Sadly for me, I ended up selling it as a package to someone else who was planning on sending it to Chris Hutchens for the full boat restoration it deserved. Considering that this game was going to be perfect when done, I agreed to let it go. I would really love to see and play the game since it's been done, as I do miss it. Doc, you out there?
On a side note, I heard that this game was literally hated by the design team when it was being built, and actually nick named.. "Dicks of Fury".... Funny how years later, it's got it's own little niche of folks that really like it. I still think it's one of the better games Williams put out at the time.. No pop bumpers? Who cares!
Play one that works, and you'll understand. Lots of varied shots, great music, great artwork, just a really neat game.
