The Swords of Fury mini playfield takes a beating, and in most machines, the artwork is badly worn. The warrior with the sword is especially difficult to touch up. The paint checking and lacquer yellowing also makes it look pretty bad. Since there are no decal overlays available, I made my own. I started by removing the mini playfield which is a chore. Then I cleaned it and scanned it. Then came several DAYS of digitally restoring the images pixel by pixel in Photoshop. Lastly, I printed them onto vinyl decal substrate, cut them out, and applied over the original artwork. I clear coated the whole thing with Rustoleum Ultimate Polyurethane. The results came out pretty good. These could also just be applied to a mini playfield without removing the many parts. In that case, maybe a mylar should be added. Note: I adjusted the colors of the scanned artwork to match the main playfield colors, since the main playfield is in good shape. So the blues, oranges, etc. match the rest of the machine (not pictured). Send me a Private Message (PM) if you have any questions. I am including pictures with before and after photos.

I forgot to mention that I did not do an opaque vinyl decal for the sword itself, as that is a translucent flasher insert. There are already commercially available decals available for that image, along with the other inserts. Plus, mine did not need a decal.
